šŸ›£ļø This Quiet Phuket Road Leads to Absolute Luxury

Also inside: Jazz, BBQ, a birthday bash & your weekend plans

Hey there, Phuket fam —

Know that feeling when you just want a break from the noise?

This week, we’re taking you somewhere quiet, beautiful, and seriously next level — welcome to Millionaire’s Mile, where luxury meets peace and the sea’s always in sight.

We’ve also got updates on Thailand’s new digital arrival card, a surprise waterspout in Chalong, and some awesome events coming up (hello, Bloc Party and Benny Benassi).

Oh — and if you haven’t hit Phuket Indy Market yet… we’re calling you out.

But first…

ā˜€ļø What’s the Weather Like?

Phuket’s got that tropical rhythm going—bright sunny starts, scattered afternoon storms rolling through, and gentle breezes to close the day.

Perfect for beach vibes, but yeah, maybe keep that umbrella handy. Just in case. ā˜€ļøšŸŒ¦ļøšŸŒ“

This week’s highlights:

  • Take a drive down Millionaire’s Mile, where Phuket’s most breathtaking villas are hiding behind the trees

  • Big change for travellers: Thailand’s new Digital Arrival Card starts May 1

  • A surprise waterspout in Chalong caught on video — nature doing its thing

  • Rock Salt turns 9 — and proves why it’s still one of Nai Harn’s best sunset spots

  • Phuket Indy Market is the low-key street food gem every local should know about

Let’s get into it šŸ‘‡

TOP STORY

The Millionaire’s Mile of Phuket

Sometimes we all want to escape the noise, the busy streets, the crowded beaches.

We want peace.

We want beauty.

And if we’re being honest... we want a bit of luxury too.

Let me tell you about a place that has all three.

It’s called Millionaire’s Mile, in Phuket.

🌓 What makes it special?

It’s a quiet road on the west side of the island.
You drive along hills and trees, with the ocean on the side.
You don’t see much at first.

But hidden behind the trees are some of the most beautiful villas in Thailand.

These homes aren’t just big—they’re breathtaking.
Clifftop views. Private pools. No loud neighbours.

It’s calm. It’s private. It’s stunning.

šŸ” What are the villas like?

Each one is different. But they all feel more like mini-resorts than homes.

Some of my favourites:

  • Villa Aye: 8 bedrooms, on a cliff, with full ocean views. It was even used for The Real Housewives show.

  • Baan Paa Talee: 9 bedrooms, a private gym, karaoke room, and a long infinity pool.

  • The Aquila: 12 bedrooms, two pools, a cinema, spa, and even a bar. Yes, really.

Every villa has staff—chefs, cleaners, a manager.
You don’t have to lift a finger. Just relax.

šŸ’Ž Behind Every Memorable Stay

This isn’t just for TV shows or famous people (though they do come).
There’s a villa manager named Pepsi—yes, like the drink.
He helped guests with everything from finding rare drinks to removing bugs at night.

One guest said, ā€œPepsi was the best part of the trip.ā€

That says a lot.

šŸ—ŗļø Where to look?

There are a few areas you should know about:

šŸ’ Final thoughts

Millionaire’s Mile is not for everyone.

It’s for people who want quiet, beauty, and comfort.

It’s not crowded. It’s not loud.
It’s just you, the sea, and a very good place to stay.

If you ever visit Phuket, and you want something special—this is it.

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Starting from May 1, 2025, all foreign tourists entering Thailand are required to fill out the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC), a digital version that replaces the old TM.6 immigration form.

He explained that the Immigration Bureau has launched a digital system for foreigners entering or leaving Thailand, called the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC). —Continue Reading Here

Waterspout Causes Alarm Near Phuket Marina

A waterspout that formed just off a yacht marina in Chalong Bay in Phuket caused alarm among boaters and onlookers on Friday.

The natural phenomenon was filmed by a foreign tourist in the area at the time of its emergence around 11am.

BUSINESS HIGHLIGHT

Rock Salt Turns Nine

Have you ever noticed how some places quietly become part of your life?

That’s what Rock Salt at Nai Harn Beach has done.

A Celebration to Remember

Just before the Songkran New Year, Rock Salt hosted an evening full of warmth and good cheer.

Guests enjoyed:

  • Endless glasses of rosĆ©

  • Beautifully prepared canapĆ©s and shared dishes

  • Laughter and stories with old and new friends

  • All while watching the sun dip below the sea

It was simple, joyful, and full of heart.

A Place That’s Stood the Test of Time

Nine years is no small thing in a place like Phuket.
Restaurants come and go—but Rock Salt has stayed, and stayed strong.

The reason?

It’s more than food and wine. It’s the feeling you get when you’re there.

Words That Meant Something

Frank Grassmann, General Manager of THE NAI HARN Phuket, thanked everyone who’s supported them—locals, travellers, and neighbours alike.

ā€œWhether you come for your morning coffee or a glass of wine at sunset—you’re the reason we’re still here.ā€

And truly, isn’t that what makes a place special?

What’s Next?

As Rock Salt moves into its tenth year, the plan is simple:

  • Keep serving great food

  • Keep pouring good wine

  • Keep welcoming people, just as they are

So if you haven’t been in a while, this is your sign.

Come back. The view’s just as lovely. And the wine’s still flowing.

Street Food Gem: Phuket Indy Night Market

If you live in Phuket long enough, you start missing that real vibe.
Not the beach club stuff. Not the influencers with drones.
Just a normal night out where you don’t feel like a walking wallet.

Phuket Indy Market gives you that. A great place to taste authentic Thai snacks and dishes.

And if you’re into food? Even better.
If you’re not into food… mate, what are you doing in Thailand?

šŸ“ Location: Dibuk Road, right in the heart of Phuket Town
